Hot water dissolution method: As HPMC does not dissolve in hot water, it can be uniformly dispersed in hot water in the initial stage, and then quickly dissolved during cooling. The two typical methods are described as follows:
1) Put the required amount of hot water into the container and heat it to approximately 70 ℃. Gradually add hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose with slow stirring, and HPMC begins to float on the surface of water, then gradually forms a slurry, which is cooled under stirring.
2) Add 1/3 or 2/3 of the required amount of water to the container, heat it to 70 ℃, disperse HPMC according to the method in 1), and prepare hot water slurry; Then add the remaining amount of cold water to the hot water slurry, stir and cool the mixture.
